Kaze-Kai has been part of Connecticut in the Hartford area since the late 90's. For almost 30 years now our focus has been the pursuit of perfection and self-defense.  We have a saying "Ikken Hissatsu" which means in laymen's terms "One and done".  We teach how to deescalate and to avoid fighting.  However if we're forced into a self-defense situation we should try to end it quickly and effectively.  To need as few strikes as possible, and even when we block an attack we strike their attack.

Because in Shotokan, a strong enough block can be an effective strike.

"Great instruction, great people. Really shows the heart of what Karate stands for. I’ve known Mr. Morrison for awhile now, trained with him in seminars and competed against his students always the most respectful and humble, letting their technique show more than their knowledge."

Andrew Evans, MA
